I read this book last year and this is one of my favorite book. It’s a power pack of love, friendship, superpower, cast division, betrayal and a lot more.

It is a story about a girl named Mare Barrow, who lives in a place which is divided into two groups the silver blood and the red blood. The Silver blood-they are rich fancy people with super human abilities they can control water, air, fire and can do a lot of stuff .They are kind of like meta-humans.They run the government, live like kings and queens. The other one’s are known as Red blood-powerless normal human being who have low income jobs, they live in slum.Mare is a red blood but she has the power to control lightning which is unheard of from the red blood. Silver’s don’t want the rest of the world to know that red can too have the powers cause they always treat them as a non-worthy people. They are already dealing with the rebellion group of red blood who wants equality but what they don’t know is mare’s also a part of that rebellion. The famous rebellion group is named Scarlet Guard which she thinks want to make the world  better place.

It also has a love triangle in this story which take a back seat from the main story and that’s what i like the most about this book.Mare is a strong girl she faces a lot of challenges her character is really astonishing.

The story mainly revolve around the red blood having the power which is unheard of and the silvers attempt to make it a secret so that they can rule the world with power.well there are few good people in silver too who try to help mare teach her how to control her powers. This book is mind blowing and i strongly recommend it.I’ll give it 5/5 stars.

“Anyone can betray anyone.”
